Which browsers are supported?

ThreadTrak works on Chrome, Brave, Edge, and Arc—any Chromium-based browser. Firefox and Safari support is on our roadmap.

Does it work on mobile?

Not currently. ThreadTrak is a desktop Chrome extension. A mobile companion app may come in the future based on user demand.

Where is my data stored?

100% locally in your browser using Chrome's storage APIs. We have no servers storing your tweets, drafts, notes, or any personal data. Your data never leaves your device.

Does ThreadTrak read my DMs or private data?

No. ThreadTrak only activates on public tweet pages. We never access your DMs, notifications, account settings, or any private content.

Are my API keys safe?

Yes. API keys are stored encrypted in your browser's local storage and sent directly to OpenAI/X when needed. They never touch our servers and are never included in data exports.

No. AI is optional. ThreadTrak works great with free pattern matching for reply classification. You can also use local AI via LM Studio (free) or connect OpenAI for premium accuracy.

Can I use ThreadTrak with multiple X accounts?

Yes. ThreadTrak works with whatever account you're logged into on X. Switch accounts normally—ThreadTrak adapts automatically.

What if a thread has thousands of replies?

ThreadTrak handles large threads efficiently. For 1000+ replies, use Priority View instead of Tree View for faster rendering, or use filters to focus on what matters.

The sidebar isn't showing up

Make sure you're on a tweet permalink page (x.com/username/status/...). The sidebar only appears on individual tweet pages, not the home feed. Try refreshing the page after installation.

My license key isn't working

Double-check you've copied the full key without extra spaces. If it still doesn't work, email support@threadtrak.com with your order confirmation and we'll help immediately.

ThreadTrak feels slow

For very large threads, try:

• Use Priority View instead of Tree View
• Disable AI analysis for initial load
• Use filters to reduce visible replies
• Close other resource-heavy tabs
