Configure ThreadTrak to match your workflow and manage your local data.

General Configuration

Appearance

Toggle between Light and Dark mode (syncs with system by default). Adjust the sidebar width and font size scaling.

Behavior

Auto-Map: Choose whether ThreadTrak automatically maps threads when you visit them, or waits for a manual click.
Notifications: Enable/disable browser notifications for completed background tasks.

Import & Export

Since ThreadTrak is local-first, your data (snippets, drafts, tags, settings) lives in your browser. Use the Import/Export tools to backup your data or move it to another computer.

Export Data

Creates a JSON file containing all your local data.

Import Data

Restore your data from a previously exported JSON file.

Note: Importing will merge new data with your existing data. Duplicate items (like identical snippets) will be skipped.

License Management

Managing your Key

Your license key is tied to your ThreadTrak installation. If you need to move to a new machine:

Go to Settings > License.
Click "Deactivate" to release the key from the current browser.
Enter the key on your new machine to activate it.
